RMA Hydromet supplies a fully automatic sampling system to RIVM. This is an extremely compact solution that is completely powered by a small solar panel.
In contrast to existing solutions, which are often large and require a lot of energy.
The system fills the flow cell every 15 minutes and then measures the nitrate content in the water. Because the water is pumped in, nitrate can now be measured in waterways that contain virtually no water or even in drains. The entire system is automatically flushed every hour.
An XLink 500 data logger with telemetry controls the whole system. The data is sent every hour to the RIVM server and as a backup to the RMA Hydromet server.
